TAFENSW – New England Institute, Tamworth, NSW, AustraliaThis case study will look at the Gunnedah district and the process it has used towards becoming a learning community. Adult Learning Australia will be funding the Gunnedah district to support the appointment of a learning broker commencing February 2005. The learning broker’s role will be to coordinate a variety of formal and informal learning activities and to build partnerships between business, educational providers, local government and community groups to create a learning community. The case study will be able to report on this journey particularly how the Framework Map for the Learning City using the critical areas of partnership, participation and performance have supported its progress.
